Overgrown yards are most of what a new lawn company gets called for, and they're the fairest test of whether someone did the whole job. Both shots in each pair are taken from the same spot on the same day.

What to look at in a lawn photo
Anyone can post a picture of mown grass. These are the parts that tell you whether the crew finished the job or ran out of time, and they're worth checking on any company's photos, ours included.
- The edge along the driveway. A real edge is a clean vertical line with the turf lip cut back. A strimmer waved along the concrete leaves a scalloped, wavy edge that grows back crooked.
- The concrete and the road. Clippings blown off the driveway, sidewalk and gutter mean somebody spent the extra ten minutes. Green dust across the drive means they didn't.
- Around obstacles. Mailbox posts, AC units, tree rings and fence lines are where the time goes. Untrimmed rings around them are the first thing to slip when a crew is behind.
- Stripe direction. If every photo of the same yard shows stripes running the same way, the turf is being rutted and pushed flat in one direction over time.
Photos here are unedited. No filters, no colour boosting, no grass greened up afterwards. If a lawn had a bare patch or a fungus scar when we cut it, it's still in the picture.
